Owner app
Follow sales, outlets, stock and reports from your own Android phone, or from the Owner view of a terminal.
As an Owner you do not have to stand at the counter to know how the business is doing. This tutorial sets up your own phone as the Owner personal phone and shows what you can read. It takes about 4 minutes.
Before you start
- You have the Owner login of the business (or a Manager login).
- Your plan includes the mobile business app. If it does not, the app tells you.
- The phone runs Android 10 or newer. See Install and pair for installing the app.
Steps
Choose Owner personal phone
After the welcome slides, on How will this device be used?, tap Owner personal phone.
Sign in with your account
Tap Continue with Google, or type your Email or ID and Password and tap Sign in. If asked, type the 6 digit Authenticator code and tap Verify. Use the account you use in the Bakasir Portal.
Read the Business screen
The Business home opens with How your outlets are doing. The blue card shows sales for the chosen period and the number of transactions and profit.
Choose the period
Switch between Today, 7 days and 30 days. All numbers on the screen follow your choice.
Choose an outlet
Tap All outlets to look at a single outlet instead. The sales and profit of each outlet are also listed under By outlet.
Check today at a glance
Scroll to Today at a glance: New customers, Payment mix today, Low stock and Open cashiers (who has a register open right now).
Check updates
Tap the bell for Updates: low stock alerts, subscription notices and approval requests you can Approve or Decline. Tap your name at the top right for Settings and Sign out.
The phone stays signed in until you sign out. Tap Refresh on the Business screen to reload.
If the screen says Business app locked
Your plan does not include the mobile business app. Upgrade the plan in the Bakasir Portal under Billing, then reload.
Owner or Manager on a cashier terminal
When an Owner or Manager signs in on a cashier terminal with a PIN, they can also read the business numbers. Managers always get three extra tiles on the Home screen, Dashboard, Analytics and Reports, next to the cashier tiles. Staff never see them.
For the Owner it depends on the Portal setting Allow Owner to operate the cashier?, under Settings → Business. When it is on, the Owner gets the normal cashier Home with the same three tiles. When it is off, the Owner gets an owner home built around the Dashboard, with buttons for Analytics and Reports, and no POS. See Owner mode on Desktop.
What each tile shows:
- Dashboard: sales, profit, transactions and average sale compared with the last period, payment methods, peak hours, top products, low stock and activity.
- Analytics: Store performance, Cash flow, Profit & loss, Inventory turnover and Insights. The last two show (locked) until their plugins are active.
- Reports: Z-report, Sales, Products, Brands, Categories, Cash registers, Refunds & returns, Inventory, Customers and Staff.
Choose the date with Today, Yesterday, 7 days, 30 days, This month, Last month or Custom, then Apply.
Tips
- Same numbers as the Portal. The app reads the same reports as the Portal, see Dashboard and Reports.
- Locked reports. Install the missing plugin from the marketplace, see Extensions.
