Read your dashboard

See sales, profit, top products and stock alerts for any date range and any store in one screen.

Read your dashboard

The Dashboard is the first page you see after signing in. It answers the questions an owner asks every day: how much did I sell, how much did I earn, what sells best and what is running out. This tutorial takes about 3 minutes.

Before you start

  • You are signed in to the Business Portal as an Owner or Manager. Cashiers (the Staff role) do not get the business dashboard: they see a Your workspace card with a button to open the register.
  • You have made at least one sale. Before that, the cards show a short message instead of numbers.

Steps

Open the Dashboard

Click Dashboard in the left menu. At the top you see a greeting, your store name, the current date and time, and your Timezone. A green Active Cashier chip shows who has the register open right now.

Choose a date range

Click the date button at the top right and pick Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month or Last month. For any other period, pick Custom range, choose the dates and click Apply. Every number on the page follows this range.

Choose the store

If your business has more than one outlet, click the button with your store name at the top of the left menu and choose an outlet. The Dashboard then shows only that outlet. Manage Store in the same list opens your business settings.

Read the main chart

The large card shows Sales for the range, with the change against the previous period. Switch the chart between Sales, Profit and Transactions. For a single day the chart is shown By hour, and for longer ranges By day.

Check the quick numbers

Below the chart, small cards show Transactions, Avg Sales Value, Item Sold and New Customer. Beside them you find Profit margin, the Payment methods used, and the totals for Purchases and Refunds.

Find your busiest hours

The Peak hours heat map shows which weekday and hour is Busy or Quiet. Use it to plan shifts and promotions. Sales mix shows which categories bring in the most money.

Review products and stock

Top Products lists your best sellers. Low Stocks lists items that are almost gone or Out of stock. Click Review stock to open the Stock Monitor.

Follow recent activity

The Activity card lists the latest transactions with their status. Click View transactions for the full list. When shifts are recorded, a Shift card compares the sales of each shift.

Open Today's Summary

Click Today's Summary for a detailed view of today: net sales, discounts, tax, returns, gross and net profit, purchases, stock value, new customers, low stock and who is on duty.

How the numbers are counted

  • Sales count completed sales only. A new online order is a transaction, but it becomes sales revenue only when it is completed.
  • Profit is net sales without tax, minus the cost of the goods sold. Net profit in Today's Summary also subtracts your expenses.
  • Refunds and returns are shown separately, so they are not subtracted twice.
  • Dates and hours follow the Timezone in Settings → System.

Tools at the top of the page

  • Search (or press Ctrl+K, or Command+K on a Mac) finds pages, products, transactions and customers from any screen.
  • Open POS starts the cashier. If Web POS is off for your business, it shows where to download the Desktop and Android apps instead.
  • The bell lists notifications such as low stock alerts, and lets you approve or decline requests from your cashiers.
  • Fullscreen hides the browser chrome, which is handy on a shop screen.

Tips

  • On a phone, the bottom bar has Dashboard, Search, Menu, Sales and Account. Menu opens every module.
  • Compare periods. Pick This month, then Last month, and watch the comparison under the main figure.
  • Something looks wrong? See Help and troubleshooting.
