Accounts, source-linked journals, period locking, financial statements, transfers, and deposits.
Activate Accounting Suite in Marketplace. Open Accounting → Accounts to review the chart of accounts before configuring posting roles under Double Entries. Map business events to the correct accounts; do not change mappings just to force a report to balance.
Journal Entries are derived idempotently from sales, purchase, expenses, deposits, and transfers. Split payments post cash and bank according to actual tender, while change posts cash out. A void creates a reversal of the original entry rather than rewriting historical amounts. Open Trial Balance to check total debits and credits, Profit & Loss for period performance, Balance Sheet for position, and Tax Summary for tax totals. Reconcile these to the source documents and the selected outlet/date range.
Use Money Transfer for transfers between accounts and Deposit for bank deposits. Enter an accurate date, source and destination, amount, and reference. Confirm that the resulting journal appears once. Amounts use integer currency minor units internally, but the UI displays normal currency units.
As Owner, review pending source documents and the trial balance, then lock the period. Bakasir materializes pending source journals within the lock transaction before closing; old journal records remain intact. A locked period rejects changes to its financial documents. Reopen only through an authorized, audited process when a correction is necessary.
Do not use a report as an edit screen
Fix source transactions through their supported void/reversal and reissue flows. A journal created from a source document must retain its audit trail.
